Tabling on the BC Plaza is available for Registered Duke Student Organizations & Duke Departments. Tabling begins one week after the first day of classes and ends the week right before the last day of classes (LDOC). There is no tabling allowed during holidays or reading periods.
There are 3 Time Slots that can be reserved:
- 10am - 1pm
- 1pm - 4pm
- 4pm - 7pm
Rates
There is cost to table for Registered Duke Student Organizations or Duke Departments.
External groups are not permitted to table on campus.
Reservation Process
You can request a tabling spot through the Space Finder Tool. If you have questions about Tabling or the availability of the space email eventservices@duke.edu.
Tabling Requests can be made up to 6 months in advance, but no later than 24 hours prior.
Tabling Policies
- Tabling will be canceled during inclement weather. Tabling is not permitted indoors.
- Tabling reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
- You may only sign up for one table; however, you can sign up for multiple time slots. For example, you can reserve Table 1 for the AM and Midday time slots; however, you cannot sign up for Table 1 and Table 2.
- A member of your organization or department must be present during the entire tabling period.
- Amplified Sound is only permitted from 12pm-1pm.
- There are no "pie-ing" or "food smashing" fundraisers or events permitted at tabling. If you would like to host one of these events, please reach out to Event Services for approved locations.
- All food must be held at the appropriate safe temperatures. Cooking is not allowed during tabling.
- Tents are not permitted unless coordinated through CES office.
- Duke University reserves the right to cancel or decline to permit tabling including on days in which scheduled large-scale events or official university activities occur in/or near the Plaza or Bryan Center.
