Often called simply "the Backyard," this space includes the area between the Southgate, Gilbert-Addoms, Blackwell, Bell Tower and Randolph residence halls. It features a few grills, tables, and seating, making for a great outdoor gathering space.
Rates
There is no rental fee for Registered Duke Student Organizations or Duke Departments.
External groups are not permitted to reserved the Baldwin Quad.

You can request this space through the Space Finder Tool. Your reservation will be tentative until confirmed by a CES staff member. You will receive an email notification when your booking is confirmed. If you have questions about Penn or the availability of the space email eventservices@duke.edu.
Requests can be made up to 6 months in advance, but no later than 2 weeks prior.
This quad does require approval from CES and Grounds before an event can be approved. Reservation periods may be limited or restricted due to the status of the grass and other plants.
